Where Can I Get Worms, to Put into My Compost?

Went to Bunnings Warehouse, they are selling $49 for 1000 worms
Anyone knows where else sell it cheaper?

Check out gumtree, I've often seen people selling their composting worms on there.

Also, if your council is a participating one, you can get worms half price here

I can't remember the price but it was definitely cheaper than $49 for 1000 worms.

Freecycle has the option to request things. I would be surprised if you couldn't find a generous local to give you some. A couple of months later you will 1000s.

The title of your post is worded a bit ambiguously. If what you mean is "Where can I get worms, to put into my compost", then I suggest you don't need to.

"Build it, and they will come".

If you don't already have one, just buy a cheap compost bin with and open (to the ground) bottom and a closing lid. The open bottom allows the "founder" worms to enter directly from the ground, and also retreat to below the bin if it gets too hot in there. The closed lid negates any problems with mice/rats etc.

If you add food-scraps to the bin regularly (but not citrus fruits/peel), you will soon have squillions of worms in there. You'd be surprised how quickly.
