Hi All - looking for a couple of cheap head lamps for the kids,
Heading off camping in a month and thought they'd be good for running around at night playing games etc
No idea where to start or whether the cheapies on ebay will do the job
Don't need anything to brilliant, just not that cheap that they fall apart the moment one of the kids falls over.
Any suggestions welcome
I have yet to find a $5 on ebay that lasts more than a day or two under the child/camping environment.
The type scrimshaw linked are much more durable, but it is not guaranteed to get here from China.

Less than $10. They are adult ones, but the straps are adjustable. They are pretty good, you can adjust the the brightness (LED) and angle…very durable. My kids been taken them to camp few times, and they're still working! We bought a few, my daughter usuall take 3 to camp so her friends can borrow them!
If you end up spending a bit more an going for black diamond / petzl headlamp - just a reminder that the "kids versions" turn off after a certain period of time. For a little bit more you get a headlamp without that "feature"

Thinking those with AAA batteries should suffice - given I already have a quality charger
Not sure if your lamps will arrive in a month. I've had goods take over a month to arrive from eBay (it's rare, but the average is usually 2.5 weeks)
Why not just go to bunnings and get this Cree Arlec headlamp
