International SIM

I'm looking for an international sim card for my folks, who are travelling to Norway, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Hungary and the UK. Data is not a priority, and they wouldn't be into the idea of buying a sim card over there.

So far, have looked at:

  1. World Sim - http://www.travelsimsdirect.com/#!product/prd1/3363191671/%2…
  2. Go Sim
  3. Woolworths International Roaming Sim

Can anyone recommend one over the others?

Thanks for your help!

  • I'm going to give this a go when I fly out to Europe on Sunday.

Seems to cover the countries you need too.

I've seen mixed reviews so I'm just hoping it's ok for my needs.

  • Avoid GoSim! Went overseas with it and it was such a hassle to make a phone call.

I know they don't want to buy a sim overseas, but it might be the best option as most of these travel sims are just overpriced UK sim cards anyway. So if they happen to go to the UK first you can just buy like a Lebara or Luca Mobile sim card which also have networks all over Europe. I'm living in London atm and travelling quite a bit and always have my UK sim in but I hardly ever make phonecalls unless its through wifi apps like Viber. But if I do need to make a call outside of WiFi areas, reception is usually decent, especially in the countries you mentioned!

    Good luck!

  • I have had a GoSim for a number of years now. There may or may not be better travel sims now, but it was the better one when I started. There is no extra connection fee and the rates are cheaper than using roaming with my Australian sim. I never found it difficult to use and find it handy to have the internet access if required (which I have had to use on occasions when no free wifi available).
