Who is your existing bank? CommonJoke? NAB all your cash? Joining ING should be a no-brainer :)

DUDE. They are an ozbargainer - that's why they asking for the extra deal.

What a pointless point you make.

For the OP unfortunately I dont know of a current offer

    Aaah Yes we Con

  • I don't think they need extra promotions to win new customers at the moment. Their offer is that much better than anything else at the moment.

    • Citibank & ME Bank are both offering a 5% cashback for new customers.

      ING's cashback is only 2%.

      • Citi offering finishes 31 May, requires 2 k/month funded. ME bank better in this regard because 6 months of 5% and no funding required. ING also has 4% interest on a linked saving account.

      • As an comprehensive banking solution ING is better.

4% interest is better than 5% cash back unless you are spending an enormous amount in <$100 transactions at merchants that accept paypass and have very little savings.

ING have 2% back which is still good. Also free use of any ATM.

If you don't mind managing multiple banks I'd go for both a 5% cash back card and ING but if I had to pick just one I'd pick ING.

Thanks Guys.. i'm applying MeBank :)

  • Not happy with ING. Just opened an account specifically for the 4% interest rate. Then noticed by chance the it has been reduced to 3.75% today. No notification by email. Moving back to UBank for 3.77%.

I also have a Rams account and at least they had the decency to notify customers of the rate reduction (now 3.8%).

    • Try ME Bank currently offering 3.85% and get 5% cashback on Tap N Go transactions.

Think I will wait until the RBA makes an announcement next Tuesday. It seems that there is a fairly reasonable chance the interest rates will fall.
