Android Lollipop: App Drawer

I've got the 5.0.1 android Lollipop update recently and for the life of me i can't figure out how to create a folder in the app drawer. It used to be just dragging the app over another (on Kitkat) but for some reason it doesn't work with lollipop.

If someone's figured it out please let me know :)

You never could create folders in the app drawer on stock unrooted Android.
Perhaps you're talking about the home screen? In that case, it's the same as always! not sure why it's not working for you.

    • oh yeah I had a launcher installed when I had kitkat and that was probably the reason I was able to create folders in the app drawer.Looks like I Need to get some sort of app now because all the google apps are cluttering my app drawer.
      cheers :)

      • Oh yeah, Nova and Apex Launcher have that functionality.

Alternatively, if you decide to root your device and use Xposed, you can achieve this functionality within the stock Google Now Launcher with "Xposed GEL Settings".

Briliant, cheers. I think I had dodo launcher, looking into "xposed gel settings" its got so many really simple but useful features that Google should really look into incorporating into stock android

    • no that's not it.
"Open from the home screen the app menu and then tap at the top right on the three-point symbol"

I'm familiar with the 3 point symbol but I don't see it in lollipop.
