At that price you'll be able to get the kids to the movies quicker than they can yell there's nothing to do! • Does anyone know if 'Seniors' can still redeem a 'Child' ticket? Last time the voucher stated 'one child/senior entry'. If anyone purchases this offer can you please check the voucher and/or T's & C's and report back. I'd like to purchase some for my parents if they can be redeemed by seniors. Many thanks in advance :-)

      • Thanks for providing that… I'll get a couple for the parents when I purchase a couple for myself :-)

    • Does anyone know if 'Seniors' can still redeem a 'Child' ticket?

Yes, if their name is Benjamin Button

  • You have 3 months to use the adult tickets but 4 months for child/Senior tickets (my state expires on 31st July)

Do the $2 sim's work with this?

  • +1

Hope we can still use the prepaid sim to register for this.. Just got the missus to pick one up from Dick Smiths since she was out shopping.
As a bonus, currently on special for $1 there.

    • +2

Yes, you can! Please note that you do not need to recharge the $ 2 Sim Card to be able to join the Movie REward program. You only need to activate the SIM CArd and wait for -/+ 7 days for Optus to register your new number in their system. If the number hasn't been registered, you won't be able to join the Movie Reward program. I know this because I've done it and had checked with their customer service rep.

In addition, I went to K-Mart yesterday in search of the elusive $ 0.50 Telstra Nano Sim Card (but I couldn't get one) and I saw quite a few Optus $ 2 SIM Card. Check your local Kmart as they're clearing these as well and they can be had for $ 0.50 - yes, that's 50 cents!

      • 7 days.. damn, that's gonna be a problem for this promo then.. 5 days and counting.. lets hope Optus gets a move on..

      • Finally had a reply from Movie Rewards, saying that "the 7 days cooling off period applies after your first recharge".. hmmmm :/

  • Edit dup

  • Thank u op, great timing for school holidays/easter!

  • I'm an Optus customer, had no idea about this! Sweet! Sucks you only have 3 months to use it, though!

    • It comes around regularly (usually just prior to school holidays), I am just finishing off my last $10/$5 sets of tickets this weekend (that expire end of March) and will restock for the next 3 months. As you can only get 10 tickets in total per day (5 adult/5 child) if you want to stock up you'll need to do it over a few days.

      • @espcookie, Is it prior to every school holiday?

        • Sorry for the late reply, but I have purchased them prior to most of the school holidays over the last year. Usually they are available a week or two prior to the breaks (often with the sale expiring in the week before holidays begin).

        • @espcookie: missed it this time, but thank you for the info. as I can now be prepared next time :)

  • FYI there is a purchase limit a day. It look like 10 tickets a day.

  • Sold out.

WTF? How many tickets did they have?

    • Great.. didn't even get to register with my new sim yet..

  • this deal has closed today :(
(found out 5 min ago when I tried to buy tickets)

so taking one adult and four kids has gone from $30 to $50 (very sad for an avid ozbargainer!)

  • Would be nice if I could register my account on there or at least receive a response from support in the 3 day time frame they say…

  • Just FYI for anyone reading this later, despite not being able to purchase online, I rang them (it's a third party, TLC Marketing) on 1800 852 821 and the girl I spoke to was very helpful and processed the purchase manually.
