CTECH20...CTECH20...CTECH20... CTECH20...CTECH20...CTECH20...CTECH20

Anybody sick of seeing this CTECH20. I know i am feels like i have read the entire EBAY AU listing on this site today.Surely a WIKI with item name, poster, price, link and possibly votes would be much more suitable.(Deals listed in order of votes)
Alternatively all deals relating to a code should only be allowed as comments on original post.(or one post per store) What are your views something needs to change?

It's quite a big sale on tech products across a few different retailers through ebay. It doesn't happen often so I'm fine with it.

Maybe a post for each retailer with all deals listed as comments?

      • +2

As the rules are, if it is not in the title, it's ok to post it as a separate deal.

No way is perfect to prevent dupes and technology related bargains are popular here. Sunday is usually a slow day anyway.

All deals should be added/ merged into a single main deal as its crowing ozbargain. There is clearly alot of bargains to be had no need to post each individual one as theres too many.

KEEP THE CTECH20'S COMING, I AM HAVING A GREAT TIME HERE KEEP SEEING MORE STUFF I NEED:)) OHH, NEED A NEW KEYBOARD …STUCK ON CAPS

Settle down. No need to yell….

    • Agreed, got my Note 4 yesterday, and still enjoying the deals posted.

Why does it matter if all of today's deals come from the same place? The purpose of the voting system is to put popular bargains on the front page, it shouldn't matter which retailer/sale the deals come from.

  • +6

I'm was at work today, so I was quite pleased with the community posting / voting up the best and most interesting deals to the front page, since it would take me quite some time to sift through the eBay site itself. I'd check on the front page from time to time to see what I'd missed.

    • -4

But wouldn't it be easier to view a list with links in order of most votes ?

      • That's exactly what the front page is afaik

  • +5

I love it…highlights the deals. The main eBay post has so many comments it's hard to keep track of what deals are available.e

    • Maybe because the first page is filled with people ranting about how crap it's going to be because everyone's going to jack their prices up.
Turns out that people are now complaining there are too many good deals.
Which way is it guys? I wish for the next ebay deal you guys would shut up until after you have proof that prices rose, and just discussed those specific items instead of blind one eyed speculation.

    First world problem.

  • I'm still yet to find a deal on this sale. Hopefully eBay does some more group deals..

personally, I appreciate other members posting things I might not think I would be handy to purchase….

That's what the scrolling wheel on your mouse is for. If you're not interested, scroll on by, or simply filter them out.

While I initially, briefly, had the same thought as you and thought they should all perhaps be in the one listing, I've changed my mind. As long as the prices posted are genuine deals, why not.

you can block categories and shops you don't want to see for a period.

Definitely growing a little tired of it.

In case I missed the code scrolling past all of the deals using the same code just with a different item plucked out, no worries, I'll just catch it on the second page, or third…
Hard to find a genuine unique bargain on the site when one of theses codes hit.

  • I cant find where to enter the redemption code - Looking at this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Western-Digital-WD-Caviar-Red-3TB…
The ctech offer is there - but no where to enter the code?

    • Safe way: Click 'Add to Cart' under the buy it now button, then click proceed to checkout, enter the code in the 'redemption code' box down the bottom, code will apply:

      Subtotal (1 item) AU $175.00
      Postage FREE
      Discounts - AU $35.00
      Total AU $140.00

Then press continue to purchase and pay for it.

  • Cheers. All good now. I was pressing "buy now" - no redemption code afeter that!

  • DUDE CTECH20 IS AMAZING. WISH THEY DID CTECH10000

I was actually OK with it but the seven mentions of CTECH20 in the title of this post has pushed me over the edge.

    • I thought he had a stutter?

    The scabs have spoken

    I wished C_yourgift01/2/3 worked :p

  • Normally, it might be annoying. However, it's been quite hard to find good deals this time (even with 20% off).
Besides, there weren't that many other deals on Sunday.

The people who posted them have done some work to find them, so I don't really see an issue. I did benefit from one of the postings (I would have never searched / looked for that item myself, but it was a good deal - that item was heavily discounted (50%) before the 20% off).

Also, the mods did really well to mark deals as expired when the retailer increased the prices. So those deals were being kept up to date.

I think it would be helpful if there was a sticky , and people can add deals to that sticky
that way the post would remain at the top ….

  • i think it was useful…
