Hi all, I have an issue with my BA Falcon. My key doesn't return to the ACC position automatically, I have to manually move it back. Ford have quoted me $1500+ as the entire steering column needs to be replaced. However after a quick google the problem can be repaired. Can anyone recommend a locksmith as I have tried a few and they say to take it to an auto electrician. I have been quoted $400 and $500 but keen to see if I can get it done for less.

I looked around a lot when I had my BA and couldn't find anything less than the 400-500 that you have been quoted.
Personally I just lived with the problem and returned the key myself :)
