  • is it a deal? since the samsung evo UHS-I 32gb is only around $18 shipped

      No it is not.

      http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Extreme-Memory-Adapte-SDSDQXN-…

      U$20.69

Sure I did not include the ship cost ($5 for the single item), but if you buy something else from Amazon, you can reduce the shipping cost per item.

@claud0902 did you bother converting it to AUD and then trying to determine if it was worth it getting it from amazon(keeping the waiting time and warranty in mind)? then add the shipping cost on thop of that?

        • MicroSD has lifetime warranty directly from the manufacturer. So no so called local warranty thing from the seller. If your Sandisk card is faulty, you RMA it directly with Sandisk and they will replace your card based on their local warehouse. The item from Amazon is about $3 cheaper based on the current exchange rate conversion.

Yes. if you buy the single item from Amazon you would pay more (about $3 including shipping) than this post of $29.95. But if you need more stuff from Amazon then the shipping cost per item will reduce.

        • The AUD is weak as piss atm. Simple way is to + %25 onto any usd price.

        Local vs overseas
We ship orders within 24 hours and also the product comes with local warranty.

        Thanks

Google says that's ~$33 delivered in USD

        • $33 in AUD not USD in "the" Google everyone uses.

Do I need to explain again? I am not posting the microSDs sold in amazon as DEAL, just for comparison. This post is just slightly better than the regular price from amazon.

You want a real deal, wait for the DEAL from the online seller like amazon.

This one is much faster. 60Mb/s vs 48Mb/s

    • Sandisk card is faster than the Evo and should be compared with the Samsung Pro cards.

  • Per GB wise… samsung pro 16GB seems to be a better deal, no shipping for small items… though if you want peace of mind probably go for the registered?

Theoretical speed is higher on the samsung pro as well… too bad the capacity is too low for what I want… I prefer >=32Gb.

    • That one is a low capacity product and we got it as a special batch from supplier with limit quantity.

      • Yup, was just pointing out another product if capacity isn't a factor.

  • http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/231223275956 this can he had for $33 and change shipped with coupon. You sacrifice some speed for double the size.

    • For some, sacrificing the speed is not an option. For example with the gopro hero 4 black.

Although this is true, in reality the bitrate of the 4k videos is around 60mbps(7.5MB per sec) on the gopro hero 4 black well within any class 10 card. I guess only burst in speed may be an issue. I have checked all my 4k vids and they come in around 60mbps. Only the new sony action cam goes to 100mbps ~12.5MB per sec

        • Well the evos are 48MB/s.. Which wouldn't be sufficient.

        • @astrodude:

48 Read. 23 Write. And thats in MByte/sec.. which is plenty.

Extreme/Pro cards are geared for RAW DSLR shooters with heavy burst shooting (30MB * 6 frames per second…)

        • @Thrawn: ah cheers, thanks for clearing that up.

        • +1

          @astrodude:
          48MB/sec is 384mbps
