I've got the black version for the 1st gen Moto G. It works fine. I'm glad because I dropped my phone a couple of times. But I also got a set (Asian supplier) which includes a holster that clips onto your belt. I like this, as I don't like keeping a phone in my shirt pocket and I will never understand people who tie up one hand holding a phone as they go about their lives.
Oh there is one drawback: the case makes it harder to tap right at the edge, say when trying to position the cursor at the edge of the text area. But what do you expect.
