Free Unlock Codes for Huawei Mobiles and Dongles @ Win Tech Mobiles

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Works for Huawei Y550 purchased from Harvey Norman $40 deal which was posted here few days back. I had both my Y550 unlocked using this site. No survey or registrations required.

To use the code:
Power cycle the phone with a non-vodafone sim in
Slide the screen to unlock, it will prompt for unlock code - use the code generated from the website.

There are mixed reviews for this unlock calculator in the comments section of their website - worth giving a shot before paying for the code.
Screenshot of my Y550 unlocked using the website is here

MOD: Moved to forums to continue discussion below. Reports from members indicate the website/codes do not work and that the OP may have made a mistake.

  • Legend. OOC how many sites did you try before you came across this? Will try as soon as mine arrives.

    • +3

uff plenty.. lol. Thankfully its a Easter Monday to kill some time

  • How does it work?
Just putting a differente sim card, restarting and writting the Unlock Code?
Or with the "Data card unlocker" programme on the website?
I don't understand it very well and don't want to screw it ….

    • Exactly, I tried the same steps as u mentioned. It worked for my phones. Worth giving a try.

      • +1

Well I tried once and nothing. I don't want to risk a second attempt as I'm afraid the phone locks itself. For just $2.45 I rather go to Ebay and get a working code.

  • +1

does not work… the Y550 sim unlock code is 16 digit. this one only gives 12 digit.

I retested mine and the code generated from this site doesnt match the code i got from bagman at all…

    • +2

Besides there's no place in the website where it says Huawei Y550 is supported. Better don't try it many times as the phone only admits like 3 attempts

    • That was my understanding too. But the code generated by this website unlocked my phones without any issues. Please find my screenshot on description.

OP, take a screenshot using a Telstra/Optus SIM, not a Voda reseller's SIM.

        • You are right. I remember I had a locked vodafone nokia phone and Lebara sim worked because lebara is on vodafone network.
So the op is not showing the whole picture

  • +1

I do not know how you got it to work I have try to generate an unlocking code from my Y550 the code itself are different to the unlock I have purchase from ebay.

  • +1

can anyone else confirm that it works for them?

  • -1

    works 100%

  • Spam?

  • +1

    didnt work for me…

  • +1

Gonna pick up mine tomorrow and see if this works.

    • I just bought mine from one of the ebay deals posted in here not long ago. Within 30mins, got the code and unlock it. Not touching this dodgy site.

  • +4

did not work on my two y550

  • +2

I checked an 'old' unlock code I obtained for a G300+ phone. The code from this website is different (less digits), so it doesn't seem to work.

Note, they only mention dongles / modems and not phones in the description.

Didn't work on my old u8150

Doesn't Lebara use Voda network, meaning unlock isn't necessary?

    • Yes, its true OP is misleading. Reading his other post and considering his signup time, I am more inclined not to trust this. I don't want to neg his post but…

FYI I have used Lebara sims in Vodafone locked G526 and Y550 before. Sometimes the Lebara APN is not created so you have to do it yourself. Add new APN in settings -> Access Points -> New APN. Set APN to purtona.net. That's all you need for Lebara if you use them.

  • +1

    y201 didnt work

  • +6

If its not working, why are people upvoting the deal

The OP may be collecting IMEI numbers.

You guys know its possible to change mobile phone IMEI numbers using hardware boxes

    • +3

And as proof of unlocking, the OP has given us a screenshot showing Lebara, which conveniently doesn't require unlocking (Voda reseller). Something real fishy going down here.

      See this as well…

      • Thanks to MODs they have removed my posting restrictions.

        Thanks

        • Well done. Let's see how this plays out.

@tightarse: I am store representative so I will let users decide about the true Deal.

31+ votes and no one can get it to work?

  • Not working with Telstra locked E5372T.

Note some sites claim that there is a new algorithm (which results in a different unlock code) but didn't work for my unit either…

    e.g.
    http://huaweicodecalculator.com/new-algo/index.php

Try at your own risk, note a Google signin and +1 is required

    • i think v3 code you get from that site should work with your E5372T modem. if no i can confirm it with my tool if you give me IMEI and code.

      • Yeah, that is what that site said too, no luck, tried old code earlier (which is same as this threads' site) and the flash code for good measure (just used it as a sim unlock code, didn't actually try flashing it). I don't actually need the device unlocked but figured it would be handy if it works.

        7 attempts remaining.

Anyway, PMed you the details if you could take a look, thanks.

      • Thanks for checking that out, just a PSA to everyone, there are 3 versions of unlock code algorithms that Huawei use.

OP's site only does V1 Codes
My link above does V1 and V2 (even though it claims V3)
dealoftheday's selling V3 (in addition to V1&V2) codes from the below deal
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/189211
Which works with my device (you may need a V1/2/3 depending on your device which dealoftheday can figure out for you).

        • +1

V1 is useless these coz thats for very old Algo.
V2 is good for most modems.
          V3 is good for E5372T E3372, and some more…

Sometimes they all fail and we need to get one from Huawei factory for example E585 modem….

    • If you really are looking for a free unlocker, I used this site… it does ask for donations but that's optional rather than the obligatory +1 for G+…

      V3 worked for my E5372T

      • Anyone try this stie with the Y550?

        • I don't think that works with phones… I've only seen usb dongles and modems on the list…

lol user has disabled their account.

User name now showing as DisabledUser151850

Probably they realised that this type of scam doesn't work on ozbargain

    • Reported this just after it was posted. Had a hunch it was sus.

      • +4

Probably the mods are having a private easter party tonight with scotty

        • +1

Haha. Took me a while to put that together. I think they may have just been playing it safe until all the facts came in. Reckon they shouldn't delete this post though, rather move it to the forums for reference.

        • Just saw that … was absolutely hilarious!!

    • +1

I thought he changed his username to

      DisabledUser151850

  • Hope they don't do anything shady with the IMEIs they got.

    • +1

i don't think they can do anything at all. There are loads of IMEIs available on some mobile forums.
