Good Perth dinner eatery that doesn't cost the moon?

My son is being awarded the Vice Chancellors List (he's in the top 1% of all undergrads) pin at his uni this coming Monday night. I'd like to treat him & his sister to dinner afterwards.

I see a Han's cafe on Google maps- but not familiar with the rest I see.

Can anyone here recommend a Perth area place for good food, good quantity, that doesn't charge $12 for a small loaf of bread? The prices are ridiculous for entree/mains ($50).

I'm a single mum on low income but would like to splurge a bit for the occasion.

Ta!

  • Which Uni? There's plenty of places in the city that are relatively cheap. I would avoid Hans Cafe's.

Congratulations! You have to be really proud!!

What's your budget?? Do you want to go somewhere close to the uni?

Palsaik Namoo on Barrack St. Get the Palsaik special, it costs $60, it's so tasty, one order should feed three people and it's fun!

Seoul Buffet is in Northbridge and Vic Park.. All you can eat $40pp. Korean BBQ and hotpot and main dishes and dessert included.

Another favourite is Osteria Dei Sapori on Broadway Ave in Nedlands. Pasta as mains is about $25 and some of the best pasta in Perth I think!!..but then including entrees and desserts add up.

  • Not Han's cafe

What total budget are you looking at?

Are both kids over 18? If so, Carvers at the Casino might be a good night out for a pretty low price. Also somewhere you can go slightly dressed up
