EBgames currently have it at $79.95

That just means normal price for everyone else is about 25-30% less

  • It'll probably be around $59 at Target. So this is probably only good for those who don't mind waiting a week or so to save ~$7

  • Don't pre-order games, it only promotes horrible games being released.

    • What do you mean?

      • +2

Pre-ordering games means if the game is terrible on release (see: most AAA's of 2014) they already have your money, so the companies will see that as a success and they can pull the same crap next release.

If you dont pre-order, wait for release and decide then, you have the power. Game is good? buy it. Game is terrible? save your money.

    • Regardless if you pre order or not, the game will be released. If you mean don't kickstart games or greenlight games then yes your statement make sense.

It works for AAA's as well, the big studios want a return on their money. If you dont buy it till after release you have the power. Game is good? buy it. Game is terrible? save your money.

        • If you expect Splatoon to be bad then you make me sad.

Although I agree, games by Nintendo have generally always been pretty solid on release, bar the online functionality, so I wouldn't be too worried by it. Haven't really heard anything too negative about it so far with the amount that have played a demo around the world. Good price but i'd expect target to be $54 or $59 for this game too

  • Game looks fun for kids

As most Nintendo games do, but in the same vein, I bet it can get intensely difficult and challenging for the most battle-hardened veteran adult gamers. Like, what child has finished Donkey Kong Country Returns's hard mode? I guarentee you the answer is 0.

S'why Nintendo are kings. Because they know games don't need to be about decapitations to be for mature gamers.

And of course, it's a multiplayer shooter, so it's only as difficult as the other people playing them. Easy difficulty substitute makes it gentler on the designers, lol. Which is actually a bad point. But hey, if it's fun, it's fun.
