I bought 3 from the Super Cheap Autos @ Gosnells today.
It was marked down from $19.99 and labelled as PRODUCT of the WEEK
I guess it's hard to do better than DX with these things but this is certainly the closest I've seen any store come. Coles sells an equivalent at $12 for just one 9-LED torch.
Wouldn't bother with the $10 freight for website orders though.
pick up instore and these are better then DX because units from DX does not come with batteries.
The included batteries aren't alkaline so if by 'better' you mean cheaper then I still think DX comes in at a lower price after batteries depending on how many you buy.
I picked up a 9 LED aluminium torch including 3 x AAA batteries the other week for my daughter (camping/Scouts) for $5 at a local K-Mart.
They had stacks of the things.
I'm sure I saw similar ones for $5 at other stores also, so I thought $5 must be the current going price.
3 for $10 is even better, if you have use for more than one…

… although I did get a Maglite 4D LED from the Coles offer for my own car!
Wish Supercheap had more stores in the inner-suburbs tho!

These were selling like hot cakes when I went by earlier today. Bought two packets for myself.
They are very good to leave in your car and put out quite a surprising amount of light.
