Bit of a niche deal perhaps, but given it is currently annual Tabletop day, Amazon is doing another nice sale with some good prices on a few games. It's vastly cheaper than what you'd pay for the same items back here, but beware that shipping can stack up quickly! Be aware that in the past, the selection of games has changed as some games sold out, and some new games were listed.

Some examples (prices in USD)

Ticket to Ride: $31.44
Forbidden Island: $10.50
Splendor: $21.64
Five Tribes: 39.99
King of Tokyo: 22.92
7 Wonders: 26.10
Dixit: 18.84
AEG Love Letter: 7.19
Batman Love Letter: 6.59

    Just picked up
    7 wonders
    smallworld
    king of new york
    $129 delivered
    At my local game shop that would have cost me $225 and $5 parking and shopping center hassles.

    Cheers OP.

      Is that $129US or $129AUD?

  • @roadeh and @cral42 nice pick of the bunch for games. As much as the discounts are great, the killer really can be on the postage. Mice and Mystics (great game) will cost A$90-A$100 which is about what it can be had for here. I guess OP has neatly summarised the situation.

    Yeah postage does suck, and the fact the AUD has weakened so much has made it a lot worse.. (I"m actually buying in GBP as have some cash to use up there) but still I think it works out a fair bit cheaper;

    From the sale I picked up;

    7 Wonders
    5 Tribes
    Castles of Burgundy
    Splendor

    Plus, given I was making an order, I also picked up;

    Resistance: Avalon
    Pandemic: On the Brink
    Ghost Stories

    Total inc postage was $253 or $330 AUD

    To buy all of these from Australia it would cost me $370 AUD, and that's assuming ordering from one store with one $10 delivery charge.. Plus the stores here often can take weeks to get stock, whereas IME Amazon will deliver it in around a week (despite saying 9-12 days).. so for me it was worth it.. YMMV though

    • Be aware that banks charge a fee for converting and buying in your currency, rather than paying in straight USD etc.

        28 degrees mastercard. No foreign transaction or currency conversion fees. Also their conversion rates are usually better than websites' built-in conversion rates.

  • $26 delivery for one board game T_T I'm guessing you've got to purchase quite a few for decent savings

  • Some great finds there.
