Looking for some usable sub-$100 computer speakers

Current speakers have had it. Looking for something that has some decent sound for someone who isn't an audiophile.

Thanks.

I recently got the Audyssey Media spekers. Very good sound including good base from passive radiators. Costs $125 though but very much worth the money

Ive has mine for over 3 years now and they are seriously the best computer speakers ive ever had.

I very much recommend you stretch your funds and get these.

How do they compare with Z506? Been looking for a cheap home theatre system for ~100$.

I haven't has much experience with the z506 but. From what I have used them (my mates) they are not as good. Bass wise that is So if you love your bass. I wouldn't get them but if you prefer surround sound then they are better.

Personaly as much as surround sound is awesome I prefer the bass.

Live in a unit, so can not enjoy full bass (noise complaint) no matter how awesome the speaker is. I'd prefer surround sound over bass for this reason.

If the movie/song file has 2 channel stereo, would that sound good in Z506?

as above, logitech z623, awesome speakers

  • Thanks for the suggestions guys. Z623 might be the way to go

  • The Logitech Z200 is a pretty good set of speakers. One of the better 2.0 speakers for that price point.
