How Do You Find out about OzBargain Deals?

Just wondering how everyone keeps track of the ozbargain deals happening?

I personally try to check several times a day, just by going to ozbargain.com.au/deals on my phone. However I notice sometimes a really good deal can be posted and it has been going crazy for 2 hours by the time I get on and check, then I either miss out or it is out of stock etc.

Do I just need to be checking and on here more, or do others use RSS app on iphones and things to try and be alerted by the new deals? Is there a way to somehow get alerted if there is a reasonably popular deal happening?

    You can get email notifications for front page deals.

    • Go to My Account - Subscriptions - Events"
    • Click "Notify me by email when: A deal reaches the front page"

    Deals that hit 50 votes are auto-posted to Facebook, Twitter: OzBargain Hot & Google Plus.

    If you have specific things you want, create alert for the thing you want.

    i.e. I wanted to get a tablet, so I'd search tablet, and create alert on for it.

    Though I have to admit, it's slower than just checking OzBargain regularly.

    Email alert by subscribing to the shop's OzBargain page.

    I try not to keep checking for the front page ultra popular deals because it leads to impulse purchasing for things I don't even use (like the 6 cases for soft drink) because it ends up not being really frugal.
