DWI won't replace OnePlus One

I bought a Oneplus One through DWI's Australian eBay store late last year and it appears to have the touchscreen grounding faultl, which a fair few other users are having. The fault causes the touch screen to become pretty insensitive to multitouch and touches close together, making typing incredibly frustrating. Oneplus have in fact acknowledged the issue and released several statements on it.

I sent it off to DWI for their technicians to inspect, and they say they can't find anything wrong with it and have made no attempts at a repair. Now they are asking $10 for them to post my phone, which is most likely still faulty, back to me (on top of the $8 it cost for me to post it to them).

I've shown them video proof of the phone malfunctioning yet they still will not acknowledge the issue. DWI's warranty even states it covers manufacturer faults yet they still wont offer me a replacement.

So what is the next step? I've never had a problem like before so I'm not sure what to do now…

  • I thought that was fixed a while back with a software update?

You'd be hard pressed to get any warranty support from DWI and oneplus themselves are out of the question.

Try to update to the latest software when you get it back (CM12S) and see how you go
