  • Decent price for the M950T, especially considering most sellers flog them for $80+ on eBay, Gumtree etc.

    • Its a great mouse too, had my first one's mouse wheel click die and bought another.

      • Amen! I own two of them ATM :)

  • +1

Dang - just paid $49 USD for this last week from Amazon and thought that was a decent price. Good price for a great mouse, though new model out soon

  • whats the battery life on these mouse?

    • Depends on your usage, but I use mine for several hours at a time, and it lasts easily 4-5 days before needing to be recharged.

    • Logitech claims one month. Obviously depends on usage and what kind of batteries you put in, but my G602 seems to live up to its claimed lifetime.

    • +4

I'm on mine 8-10 hours/ day and find it easily lasts a work week.

      • -1

Are you people taking the piss?

I change the battery on my M705 once a year, if that. What's the go with this one?

        • +2

I've never had to change the battery on my M950 and had it for 3 years. It's rechargeable.

M705 is called the Marathon Mouse, designed to use less power, it takes multiple batteries and it can't be recharged. Horses for courses.

        • +2

Darkfield consumes more power, good luck getting the M705 working on glass.

        • I have the Performance MX(same as this?) from the MX800 combo. Battery lasts about 3to4 full work days (and I use it for CAD) until needs a recharge. Recharge time is about 30mins.

        • @browser:

What's this necessary wizardry application on glass that you're speaking of… I imagine very few people have their computer on a glass surface desk, or do you mean using it from the sofa on the coffee table?

        • +1

          @minty:

Meh either/ or. I like to mouse across my impeccable six pack, chicks dig it, - darkfield enables me!

However for the less well endowed many have glass topped desks or glass desks - darkfield enables them.

  • If you're in the market for on of the Sony cameras discounted in this deal, there's a much better deal here:

    http://www.camerahouse.com.au/products/Compact-Cameras/Sony-…

It's only in pink, but it's the 830 (10x optical zoom) digital compact for like 100. The black of the same model in OP's deal is 150 after discount.

    OFW pricematch?

  • Great Price on the M950T!

  • Damn it, just bought the M905 from ebay sale last week for $50 :(

    • isn't that less than this?

      • M950t is a bit better than m905 I guess

        • ay damn my dicklicksit eyes

different mouse for different purps I guess

        • "There is no difference between the Logitech Performance Mouse MX M950 and M950T. The M950T is released in a specific region (e.g. UK) and the specification is basically the same with the normal M950."

          @721411:
Ha ha you're worse than me. Look at the model number

        • -2

@fattyboombatty: Oops, my bad. Sorry guys! This is what nighttime bargain hunting and daytime drowsy browsing have done to me!

Even though I'm an Asian, I'm terribly bad at numbers (and my English also sucks big time)!

BTW, I'll take your comment on me being Einstein-like as a compliment since I know Einstein is (was) clumsy and forgetful all the time.

      • M905. This is 950.

  • Got this for $69 at jb 2 weeks ago, will they refund the difference?

    • +6

Buy a brand new one. Return with old invoice. Simple!

      • Even if it has been used?

        • +3

No. You refund the new one that just left the shop. So you still keep the old one that you bought last week.

But check first, because I take no responsibility should jb hifi refuse to refund your money

        • @t25: pure genius, thank you for the brilliant idea which I am sure will prove useful in future!

  • Bought one from JB Hi-Fi - Westfield - Chatswood, Plenty of stock there.

  • Is this the Performance MX?

I'm looking for a larger mouse than my M705 which is far too small. Still using my G5 wired mouse, which drives me mad (as I don't like wires)

    • Nevermind. Figured it out. The M950T is the big boy… bought 2 of them (home and work)

  • Which headunit would be the best buy here??

  • +4

Officeworks has dropped the prices of the m950t to $55.20 as well.

    • +9

Of course they have! Out of the goodness of their hearts I reckon…

      • Lol

      • +2

Officeworks need to start being price leaders not followers

    • +1

LOL they caught on fast, but not fast enough - popped down to the local officeworks (out of convenience - JB is at westfield) this morning and scored myself the m950t mouse (52.40) retailed at $139.95 - officeworks price LOL.

  • Cheers Trent, used the gift cards from the Optus competition to buy a pair of car speakers.

  • Should update the price in title because the Logitech mouse is listed as AUD 55.20 on JB.

But thanks OP, just got one from the Elizabeth St store in Melbourne CBD with 3-4 left. They didn't have the discounted price on them but the discounted price shows up in the system when scanned.

  • Office works already price reduced to be same as JB.. so they don't loos another 5%

    • Find someone with staff discount. Or pay with payWave (ING, MEBank, Citi)

  • Using it now. Did your's come wiht en Eneloop rechargeable battery? This one did. This is one awesome mouse! Cant believe it took me this long to get one!

Whats a good Logitech keyboard to go with this?

    • Mine came with Eni Time rechargeable battery (made by GS Yuasa), got it back in 2010 and still going strong.

    • yeah Panasonic Enleeop but no charger tho :)

      • you just plug the usb cable into the mouse, and keep using the mouse, and it charges the battery. then unplug when it's charged. no need for separate charger

        • Oh cool. thanks for that idea. Brilliant!

  • +1

Price drop due to the release of MX Master.

    • Nah price drop ends on Monday which the price will go back over $100

      • +1

Come on, M950 is 5 years old and the RRP was set that long ago.

The brand spanking new MX Master is $99 pre order, I trust no one on OZB would pay $109 for 5 years old technology.

        http://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Mouse_&_Mouse_Pads/Mouse/…

        • Yeah no one would pay $100 for it but I'm just saying the price will go back to over $100 on Monday night.

        • Does the M950 have bluetooth or only the USB dongle? Thinking I might wait and grab the MX Master instead. Will it be worth the extra coin?

        • @d1matt: m950 is dongle only (logitech unifying, so will also allow most of their decent keyboards to connect to same dongle at same time).

    • Let's hope mx master arrives soon! Can't wait to test it out.

      • +1

        ETA 24/April apparently.

      • Yep, me too. Especially since it has bluetooth which should work better. I tried the 950t and it kept stuttering on me, hoping the bluetooth on mx master will work better.

    • Best place to order MX Master? Scorptec the best bet? I noticed PC Case gear have it as well. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&p…

  • Just grabbed the m905t! Thanks for sharing!!!

  • Thanks!
Just grabbed one from JB Bourke St and it's amazing for $55.2!

  • Got a Lenovo z50-70 i7 (writing on it now). Forgot to pickup the mouse but will do that today or tomorrow. Will go well with the new lappy.

  • Just FYI, the logitech x100 bluetooth speaker is $49, but at DSE and Officeworks it's $29.95.

  • Grabbed a M950t mouse today. Can't wait to unleash it at work on Monday. :P

  • Undecided on whether to grab the M950t or wait and grab the MX Master. Help.

    • The battery life of MX Master is better according to reviews but it is inbuilt and not removable, compared to the Eneloop battery included in M950t (with the mouse serving as a charger) which you can swap out if it loses charge easily after a few years.

And apparently the configurable buttons on the MX Master are less, with the back forward button being more cramped to fit in the horizontal scroll. But MX Master has a lot more new features too like Bluetooth and able to switch between connections. So it's really up to you on what features you prefer.

You can watch MKBHD's review of the MX Master where he compared it with the M950t (Performance MX in the US). I'm replying from my phone so I can't provide the link.

    • If you have two locations, with one device at each, buy two 950. Like work and home. If you have two devices at one location, like say working from home with a desktop and laptop, and/or maybe an android tablet, hang out for the MX master.

    • I think I am just being impatient. I am upgrading from a Razer Orochi which has bluetooth. I like the idea of not having the dongle plugged in so I'll wait it out and get the MX Master. Best place to pre-order?

  • Roselands SYD all sold out

  • Does anyone know if they will do the QC25 for cheaper?

  • Does any one know How does the M950t compare to the Performance Mouse MX ??

    • +1

They're both the same. Performance MX is what it's called in the US. While the only difference I found out between M950 and M950t other than the latter being newer is that the latter comes with an Eneloop rechargeable battery and the former, some other brand of rechargeable battery.

      • Awesome thanks!! I can't wait to get one tomorrow. My magic mouse has been annoying the crap out of me…(Keeps disconnecting)

I got it the day it was available so I'm pretty happy with its life cycle.

        7 Years aint bad

        • +1

You're welcome! Hopefully there are still stock where you are!

        • @nanoronline: Yeah according to the website Elizabeth St has stock.

The MX master is on it's way though….

        • Are you getting this mouse, the 950t?

        • @TRENT86: Yes probably tomorrow…

        • +1

@knick007: Dude you need to buy it in the next 25 mins because this special ends 11.59 pm EST TONIGHT

        • @TRENT86: Shit… Thank you for that haha

        • +2

@knick007: All good ordered for pickup tomorrow :D

        • @TRENT86: Good job Trent!

        • @nanoronline: Woops the mouse actually ends WED I think, looks like it was just computers that ended Mon, I'm glad Knick007 didn't get it delivered or I would have felt bad lol

        • Does anyone know how long JB orders take to be ready for pickup? I really wanted to pick it up on my way to Uni but maybe that is unrealistic….

  • Just dropped and broke a mouse. Perfect timing!

    • Officeworks stock is getting smashed. I've been to four stores all with zero stock

      • +2

Don't reward price followers, reward price starters, unless of course there is no Jbhifi in sight

        • As much as I agree with you, I have a 30 day account with Officeworks, combine that with my friends staff discount card, and I get a better deal than I would have buying from JB HiFi.

        • @t25: Yeah that's fair enough :)

        • +1

          @TRENT86:

Also, OW takes Amex without a surcharge, so more points to be had. :)

        • @mediumsliced: Wow there's a surcharge to use Amex? How much man? I've been interested in Amex

        • +1

          @TRENT86:

          Currently 2.5%.

        • @mediumsliced: God that seems a lot. Thanks man :)

        • @TRENT86: No worries buddy. :)

        • @mediumsliced: didnt know JB HiFi didnt take Amex without surcharger. For a retailer that large, generally, they take Amex without much issues.
