Tramontina 6litre Pressure Cooker, Half Price @ $50 BigW

60

Showing as $99 on the shelf, but scans @ $50. Not as good a picture as https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/190040 and not quite as cheap, but a good deal if you missed that one for the start of preserving season. It's tall enough to take the Ball brand pint jars.

    • No, they do a different model for Woolworths :-/ This one is model 38102/600, the Target one is designated opal. Target had none local when I checked. That would have been even better.

  • decided to get the digital one from Target for 10 bucks more

  • Looks like it may have a better pressure regulating valve on the handle allowing more pressure settings. Anyone with one that can comment? May be worth the extra 10 bucks and that it's a brand that is likely to be around

    • Only 2 settings. The manufacturer site gives the specs as 7-1/2 Lb and 13-1/2lb - I miss the old Prestige with the 5,10 and 15Lb weights. The handle toggle is a lid lock, handy in a toddler house.

      • sounds the same as the other one, was quoted at 100 and 60 Kpa per square inch. Are either of these units SI? Sounds like a similar ratio so guessing is the same. Same with the lid lock.

        • This one is 50 and 90, so the other looks more like the old imperial measures, this one is a bit lower. Doing a primitive plug and guess back calculation using here:

there'd be a 2C difference at top pressure. In terms of cooking time tho, that's a fair bit of heat.
