At the end of the review you link to they comment that it would be fine as a budget card for a camera, however they don't recommend it for use in a phone. What makes this card undesirable for use in phones?

      • I was wondering that as well, the only thing I could see was

"On the random speed, that is where is fails to impress. Like many other cards, the random speed is clocking less than 1MB/s in most of the tests and a pretty slow speed at 222 IOPS of write"

Do phones need fast random read/write speed?

        • If you store a lot of apps and files on a SD card, the speed and responsiveness of the phone is dependant on the quality of the micro SD card.

  • Note: "Write Performance: Minimum 10MB/s*"

That's just because of the class 10 classification (which says it must be 10MB/s).

  • $39.69 with 28 degrees

  • From my limited experience, that would not mean anything other than it's not DOA, with the card (had it for like a month), the card is alright.

Just out of curiousity, how do you do reliablity test on these cards?
I've heard people talking about the cells being MLC and yaddy yadda, but I wanna check whether it fits the description.
(I can even do on two different cards, since I own two of these)

  • Just had an email from Amazon it says this > Item: PNY Turbo Performance 64GB High Speed MicroSDXC Class 10 UHS-1 Up to 90MB/sec Flash Card - P-SDUX64U190-GE
    Quantity: 1

Reason for refund: Shipping address is undeliverable

Here's the breakdown of your refund for this item:

        Item Refund: AUD33.38
        Shipping Refund: AUD6.75

My address is correct and no delivery was attempted, very poor service from Amazon.

    • Strange. Perhaps your address shows as undeliverable by Australia Post's automated system or something? I already received an email that my order has been shipped, so it's not like they just decided not to ship to Australia.

      • They did send me an email saying shipped, and then a few days later an email from them saying address is unavailable.
