Put up the deal and people will vote and buy if they're interested

    • Agree with this. I'm not in the market for new headphones. However if you make these compelling in price I'd easily become tempted.

      So what's your best price???

  • The ridiculous US$99 price won't sell well here, or anywhere else.

    • USD $99 is not that bad if it's a decent headphone.
Not to mention, brands like Beats do charge $200~$300 as well. The price itself isn't that bad, if you compare it to those.

That being said, I'd be hesistant on spending that much on a headphone unless it, the headphone, becomes highly regarded by reviewers and users. It's at that level of spending where I'd try it or at least do fair bit of research before purchasing it. Especially since Xiaomi is not specialised in making audio equipments.

The reviews from Head-Fi forum seem to suggest that it's mediocre. Though that being said, some people seem to be disappointed because they had too high expectation on the headphone by the looks of it. My brief skimming suggests that it has a V shaped sound signature, unlike what the naming suggests.

      • Head-Fi is not a good place to get feedback for those headphones, most of the users there have external amps and expect big gains for using that. Clearly the product is designed for smart phones, what meager sound quality you get from that they probably tuned the headphones to exaggerate highs and lows (hence V-shape signature), the 32ohm rating is quite telling too.

        • Amp shouldn't change the sound signature that much as far as I am concerned? I think to some extent, they are disappointed because they were expecting too much, but I think V shaped sound signature is slightly concerning for a "Hi-Fi edition" headphone.

I usually go on those forums to see the general consensus on an item, I tend to think that those forums are very prone to hypes so more than often I wait for reviewers who also release the FR graphs along with other graphs as well. Though that being said, most people, welp, seems like around 3 ish people but still, there who've had a shot at it on the forum seem to say it's a V-shaped can, I doubt that every single one of them has amps that distorts the signature that much.
