I am considering buying a Dyson Multifloor DC54 Vacuum. I want to have the option to put a turbine head on the vacuum in the future if I need it.
Can I buy the turbine head and attach it to the Multifloor or is it only available on the Animal and more.

With DC54, the turbine head comes with Animal and Allergy. You can buy the turbine head separately and use it with Multifloor. As far as I know, the only difference between Multifloor, Allergy and Animal is the colour and the included tools. Everything else is the same.
Buying a turbine head separately would probably cost around $120 or more. Price difference between Multifloor (without turbine head) and Allergy (with turbine head) is about $100 so it's probably more worthwhile to get Allergy.
I bought a Dyson DC39 Allergy a couple years ago and I'm impressed by its performance and suction. The turbine head is really good with my thick ply carpets where I can really feel a difference before and after vacuuming.
