Astro A50 - Best Price

Hi guys,

I'm looking to get an Astro A50 wireless headset to use on my PS4, Xbox One and PC. Can anyone recommend the best place to go for the cheapest price?

I've found them on a website called value basket but I've read very poor reviews about them. I've also heard some people have had to take the A50s back for exchange so buying locally might be safer.

Have only really found them at JB or EB locally. Do they negotiate on price? Is there anywhere else I can get them for a decent price? $400 to $420 seems to be the norm at the moment which is a bit more than I'm comfortable paying.

Appreciate any advice!

    I personally hate them, the amount of time you have spend with them wired it might as well be a wired headset. I would probably go with the steelseries wireless H instead. They have interchangeable battery packs and a better control pod. So yeah I think you should look at the alternatives too.

    Thanks for the comments guys. From what I'd read the A50 is the benchmark for sound quality in games and I like the look of them. What do you mean by they need to be connected most of the time? I know they need to connect to the controller on the Xbox One, but with other platforms it's fully wireless.

    I will check out the Steelseries. Don't know much about them. Have you used them yourself?

    Astro is known to give awful sound for the price .

      I agree, after buying the Ath-ad900x I noticed a huge difference between both headphones (gamed at a mates house who has A50's). For the A50's price I would rather get good headphones and a modmic or a studio mic (heaps of reviews floating around - I personally use a Blue Yeti).

    i to have been looking at value basket for these astro a50
    good price but from all the bad reviews about the company, i don't know if saving 70-80 dollars if worth it
    everyone else is sold out like pccg and ple computers
    jbhifi and ebgames are 400+ with minimal price budge.

    i have mates with a50's and they are worth getting.

    if anyone know's a reputable retail who does sell them in Australia and a good price let me know
