Get Wines Direct - misleading advertising?

Have bought wines from these people many times - they're generally good quality.
I always use their "10% off voucher" which they email to you if you sign up for the newsletter.
The terms are "Please note this offer is only valid for 7 days and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. Only 1 promotional code can be used per order per person."
To me that reads that I can use it on every separate order I place. Which I have done.
However I have recently tried to use it again and have been told that I have used the voucher twice before, so it is no longer valid.
To me that is false and misleading advertising.

Should I report them?

  • Per order per person.

  • Skip the ACCC and go straight for the bikies.

Did you use it within the 7 days?

Easy enough to bypass I guess, just create a new account with same delivery address.
Wording of "per order per person" is still wrong IMO, it implies multiple use per person is fine so long as it's on separate orders

    • Of course it doesn't: you, the person, can only use it once, and only on one order. It's right there in simple words.

I disagree. If they wanted you to use it only once it should be worded 'Only 1 promotional code can be used per person'. To me it says you can take 10% off every order you make for 7 days. 10% isn't a huge discount, sounds reasonable to me.

  • Do you really think they intended for everyone of yours to be 10% off forever?

  • Only 1 promotional code can be used per order, per person.

You've already used your allocated 10% off code, makes sense to me. How is that misleading.
