Philips Air Fryer @ Costco $139 (after $30 Cashback, Membership Required)

170

Philips is giving $30 cashback on the Viva Airfryer (the cheaper one), and $50 cashback on the XL model.
My local Costco (Canberra) has the Viva Airfryer for $169, so $139 after cashback.

For non-members, TGG has the Airfryer for $177 and you may be able to price match and use your TGG vouchers that you got from Woolies using the wish gift cards that you got for 7.5% off from the Entertainment Book or Groupon. Yes its cheaper this way but I'd prefer to save the hassle and have the peace of mind of the Costco guarantee.

I've been using this Phillips airfryer for everything. The chips and nuggets cooks even

    Wedges are like perfect

Heck I even tried cooking unconventional foods in here
    - springrolls (turned out super crunchy)
    - pork belly reheated (simply amaze)

  • Yes quite good for frozen food. Have a look at the model before buying. Larger families may prefer the xl model

  • can you fry icecream

If it is Philips Viva Collection Airfryer Model No. HD9220/50, the Good Guys is selling the same one at $147 after cashback, not too bad if you don't have a Costco membership.

  • Any opinions on the knock offs? I heard the kogan one was decent

    • It is but it works a bit differently due to the design on the bottom. Philips cooks a bit more evenly.

  • Any idea if available in VIC? Not sure if all costcos carry the same stock?

  • Love the Philips airfryers, had one of the smaller ones, bought the bigger one, lent the smaller one to my brother, he bought it off us :)
Bought another XL, lent that to someone, they bought their own when we wanted our spare back :)
They're one of those things that you ever wonder how you did without.
I've made cakes, and it also cooks a mean roast.

    • Any difference between this one and the XL besides capacity?

XL has a digital temperature setting and timer goes up to 1 hour. It has 2100w power. The viva has two mechanical dials one for temp and one for timer that only goes to 30 mins. It has 1425w power. I have the small one and found the size ok. If you need to cook for more than 2, you probably need the big one.

    • Any idea whats the price of XL at Costco ?

      • They mightn't stock them maybe?? You can normally get the XL for around $350.
