  • Borders have 25% off for the most popular titles (with free shipping)…

I doubt there is even one book at Angus and Robertson online that you couldn't buy cheaper somewhere else even with 20% off… RRP in Australia has a ridiculaous mark up…

  • Book Depository has the ones I want cheaper, after the A&R 20% off is applied and even before the current 10% BD discount offer is applied…

  • One range Angus and Robertson (online) is good for is the Popular Penguins. Their online store has them for $7.99 (versus $10 RRP) and this discount does work on the top of that - bringing them down to $6.39 delivered.

Everything else, though, seems to be pretty damn pricey (bad enough at Aus RRP, but even worse at Angus and Robertson/Borders RRP+ prices). Finding anything else of genuine discount there (versus Book Depository etc) is a bit of needle in the haystack.

Normally don't even bother with A&R, usually just hit Booko. But for Australian stuff the local retailers are the best option. Even then A&R at pretty pricey compared to Borders or Dymocks but this doesn't work out too bad. Got the new Matthew Reilly book down to the cheapest I've found anywhere (including Borders 25% discount). Booko confirms this.
