T-Dimension Thread. Feedback and Queries

I'm just wondering if anyone can help here regarding t-dimension. I've looked here and whirlpool, and product review site, and their feedback seems pretty good, and they sound like a better alternative to Aus based grey importers, particularly with their covering return delivery for warranty.

I was looking at getting a mobile from them, and was wondering on their free shipping if it is handled by australia post or a courier. Just if it is handled by a courier I'd be better off getting delivered to work. If Australia post, to home (AP don't deliver to our office).

Thanks

and yes, they are. probably not the cheapest but they are around for long time.

  • +1

Last time I used them, they sent it EMS. Which means Australia Post can handle it, but you might want to check with them specifically.

I have to give T-Dimension 10/10 for service, better warranty support than if you bought a product locally.
I had a camera stop working and they sent a courier to pick it up on Monday, I had it delivered back to me on the Friday. If I had bought it locally I would have had to drive twice to the obscure camera store in town and they probably would have had to order parts in etc….

    • Thanks for the feedback and info on shipping. Hmm. EMS I'd usually get sent home… I might just get sent home then. EMS is great though - I don't know why more sellers don't use the postal system equivalent of a courier service. They are great.

When I was looking at getting a phone, to get it locally you either pay a lot more or get via a grey importer. And it seems a lot of them make you ship stuff back overseas at your own cost. Fair enough if you actually purchased something from a non-Australian store, but when you buy it from an Australian, that really is not satisfactory. So it begs the question, why bother with the local grey importer? Why not just go direct? T-Dimension sounded pretty good even with the basic warranty, covering shipping costs back which was better than I was expecting.

  • Well my mobile arrived this morning. They sent it DHL. Am pretty impressed so far.

  • WARNING: T-Dimension is a fraud!

He advertises one model on his website (usually with a wide support of mobile networks), but ships a different one (generally cheaper Asian model with limited connectivity in Australia).
I ordered a OnePlus that he advertised as the international model with support for LTE bands 1/3/5/7/8/20 but he sent the China model with support for only half the number of bands and then he refuses to refund me.

There are many more horror stories on the Internet. I wish I had read them before I ordered from this charlatan.

  • WARNING! T-Dimension will not honour warranties and find an excuse as owner damage and then steals your phone and stops replying.

  • I purchased an S7 Edge in August 2016 and it's developed the infamous pink line on the screen.

T Dimension want me to post it to Hong Kong (at my expense) and wait between 4-8 weeks for it to be repaired.

I'd need to purchase another phone in the interim which will put me out of pocket and may never get the S7 Edge back.

    Atrocious warranty support. Avoid.

  • So whats the go with T Dimension? They've currently got the 12" Xiaomi Air for just over $600 with the discount codes and CR

  • I do not recommend buying with T-dimension. I bought a Samsung S7 from them recently and upon receiving the item, it was already unsealed (not new as described). I then proceeded to experience problems with the phone and sent it back to them as it was under warranty. It's now been over 3 months since they've received the phone and are ignoring/not replying to my emails and holding my phone hostage.

T-dimension is a scam! Do not buy grey import, especially from T Dimension, you'll pay for it later.

  • DO NOT BUY WITH T-Dimension. they will ask for your passport and drivers licence and won't be content with any utility bills you send them - despite them saying that it is enough. They will pester you with emails until you submit what they want or threaten to report them to the ACCC, at which point they will very promptly issue you a refund to drop the matter. I suspect that this company sells your personal information which allows others to hack your account even use fraudulent means to contact you. Be very careful, this company should not be allowed to service Australia at all and I have personally written and sent a direct complaint to the ACCC.

This is the email I got and they were NOT content with my utility bill after sending it… Infact they wanted my passport specifically and / or drivers licence. Note how they accept Paypal for payment which has a very good anti-fraud policy and even provides insurance both for the buyer and seller, yet they want information beyond that for god knows what.

We would pass that information to the Management Team for checking and approval. We appreciate your understanding.

    1) Please provide proof of delivery address? For example the official documents such as a recent Utility bill (i.e. issued in the last 3 months) or Government Documents or Bank / Credit card Statement (i.e. issued in the last 3 months) or Government Tax invoice which can show the name and the delivery address for validation.

(P.S. a copy of driver licence / ID card / Passport which can show your name and delivery address is the best document, not the PayPal payment.)

If the delivery address is the company address, please provide a copy of staff pass or sending an email to us by workplace email or any other related information as reference.

Please note that we don't accept the PayPal Payment, Shopping invoice or electronic document / bill as proof.

    2) Between, please provide your landline number (such as your home phone number or work phone number) because we need to verify it and make sure the courier to be able to contact you?

Other people have complained that they've received open not sealed boxes and that the item wasn't new. When they contacted T-Dimension the resolution was that the buyer had to pay a HIGH restocking fee since they CLAIMED it was sealed and NEW. Don't put yourself through this. Avoid at all cost. Just price match with the manufacturer or buy cheaper locally so you have local laws and ability to complain if issues arise. Good luck doing anything to a company run in modern day Hong Kong.
