Leather Belt Stuck in Customs

Hi folks,

Need help on an issue which I'm facing atm - I ordered a Levi's Leather Belt from a US ebay seller which was shipped via USPS and has reached Melbourne sorting facility about 9 days ago. There has been no progress on it further. I gave USPS a call in US and they've asked me to get intouch with AusPOST but in checking with AusPOST - they've refused to give any details since I'm at the recieving end but the lady gave me a hint that it haven't reached to AusPOST yes and haven't been processed by Customs yet (or being held??).

Can someone let me know if they've faced same issue and how to resolve it ? I haven't recieved any notice from Customs asking for reciepts or anything telling me that it has been quarentines yet. Neither AusPOST or USPS giving more details on it but my last option is to go back to seller and ask him to return money (not sure if held in customs is a valid reason for money return?)

thanks

  • I'd suggest waiting if it's in the country, about all you can do

  • Maybe Customs knows it's a fake and they are holding it?

    • yeah I thought the same but the seller confirmed it's a genuine and 31 sold already which makes me think it's not fake ?

(I've bought this previously while I was in US myself like 6years ago).

Here's the link of the product:

        $20 for shipping!

I doubt some dipshit highschool dropout at customs could tell if it's fake or not. What a waste of resources if that's the case though, stopping a $20 fake belt from entering the country - you're doing gods work fellas.

        • I actually did pay $20 as it's still cheaper than buying it from AU for this specific brand and make.

Maybe a customs beagle ate it? :)

correct me if i am wrong but don't customs give you notice if you have made an infringement? 9 days, i would put it down to customs being customs…
