Do you have to unwrap these tablets,or does the wrapper dissolve?

  These have to be unwrapped….the dissolving wrappers are quantums,although I have found they will only work on a full wash not on half or fast setting.

Not a bad deal if, as you say, you buy in bulk. I get my tablets from Red Dot. Always the same price of 100 tablets for $22.
