Hi Ozbarginers, I'd like to hear about your experiences with your neighbours having a party/playing loud music at night and into the early hours of the morning
Yesterday I experienced that, one of my neighbours had really loud music and people shouting over the music from 9pm-4am, this affected my sleep, which was so annoying and frustrating, they were so inconsiderate and selfish!

Nah, they only do it once a year.
So this isn't a regular occurrence or anything?
I get how much it would suck to have neighbours blaring music and making a crapload of noise til 4am (we used to have neighbours who did the same frequently though they were a number of houses away from us so all I really heard/felt was the annoying bass for hours on end into the morning.. which in itself was rather irritating even though I love bass lol)..
But if it's a one off thing, and they only do it "once a year", is there much you can do about it? TBH that doesn't sound too bad, and while still being rather inconsiderate on their part, they did reserve it for a Saturday night rather than a weeknight (though again, not necessarily much more considerate for those who have to work on Sunday and need a good night sleep, I suppose)..
Invest in some earplugs? If they do party more often, you could also leave a polite letter in their mailbox asking if they could keep the music down a little and/or cease playing music by a certain hour of the evening? edit- just realised you haven't asked for any advice at all on what to do re: your neighbours. Plz ignore my post now. lol derp.
You can make a noise complaint to the police. Tell them your neighbours are in love with the coco ;)

Yes i hate that stupid as F song.
Ive never had this problem cause i'm always up till 4-5 am gaming on ps4 or pc and with my headset i cant hear shit.
If you spend all your time gaming to the early hours of the morning then it's no wonder you only have a 93 Holden.

Don't be a pooper, chuck on some threads and head over there, you never know you might meet some ladies.
If it's once a year smile and ignore it. Especially if it's on a fri sat night.
Although my general rule is to turn it down abit at midnight for courtesy sake.

You have to talk with them first. If they don't want to listen, then call cops.

Personally I would let them enjoy themselves until 2-3am then call the cops.
At 9am, you start your music / whipper snipper / lawn mower.
But yes, once a year isn't bad. They should keep it quieter after midnight though, it's inconsiderate not to.
I've had a big party at my place 2 weeks ago. I invited all my neighbours, so no one complained. But I don't have parties very often.
