  • If it works like mine, it automatically records over older clips when the unused space runs out.

  • Mine was like that trex but now i get a blue card full on the screen —-I have been through the menu, have set for 2 mins
so if you connect to your pc do you get lots of small clips ??? ——- anyway i then have to stop & format

btw do not hit set back to defaults its chinese

    • +1

Some of these cameras have a G shock sensor (mine does). If the sensor is triggered, the camera will flag the video file as "read only" so that it doesn't get over written. Over time, these "read only" files would accumulate and fill up your memory card until it's full. To delete, simply format as you did or insert the card into a computer and manually delete all video files.

  • Hi Trex, I dont know why it may have triggered ,[no G forces by me] I notice the key is always on display , but I cannot seem to get rid of it,if that denotes being in a locked mode would make you think thats why its saving all clips

if you looked at yours how many clips would be on the card?& is the key showing or off?

    thanks for your interest

    • I'm using a 16GB card on full HD recording. From memory, each clip is about 500MB or so where in the camera's settings recording is set to 10 mins per clip. The card accommodates around 32 clips.

My car cam looks like this model

There's a button on top of the unit with a Triangle symbol which manually sets the current recording to lock. A symbol appears on the LCD screen though I can't remember now what the symbol looks like.

  • I have been able to get rid of the key display which you would think would mean locked ,i think it was under motion shall see if that fixes it

  • yeah im using 16GB class 10 was on 720HD but changed down to VGA 320 file size 2oomb approx
hmm your phone is way different in looks to mine as in pic 1st post
thanks for your help trex —-i'll keep trying some settings

  • VGA 320's resolution might not be clear enough especially in identifying vehicle number plates ;)

  • true ——changed it back
