although your post is a tad confusing as the image is not enough to get free choccies - you will need a link to the screen where a person enters their details

    • If you click on the image I posted with this bargain you will notice is is a voucher ready to present. You should just be able to print this out a few times and present it over the week to collect your chocolates. You will note I entered the details as a generic "Oz Bargain" as a bit of a nod and a wink to all of us using this site ;-) (note I made the email address up - hope it doesn't actually go to anyone).

      I also posted this link:
      http://www.valuehuntervoucher.com/darrelllea/
Which should direct you to the area where you fill in your own details to print out a voucher.

Any probs - let me know.

Ahah - I wondered who the mystery '[email protected]' was!! Guessing that with the rush of Christmas there won't be too much checking of email addresses / multiples. Good find!

  • +5

hmmmm, i guess i will be busy at work tommorrow handing out free chocccies to all the ozbargainers…:)

    • R U saying you work at Darrell Lea? That would be a classic!

    • You better get used to saying "I'm terribly sorry, due to an unexpected rush on our free chocolate offer, all the samples are gone".

  • +4

Yes, yes I do work at Darrell Lea:)

    • That's hilarious. You'd better get some sleep - I think you're going to have a busy day tomorrow!!

  • +7

Will do, and by the way: I recommend coffee liquer, cherry liquers, peppermint nougat and peppermint creams, but that's just me:)

Nice tip Ally, thanks. Our fellow Ozbargainers are always interested in the inside word.

And I'm sure we can keep this little banter about "multiple copies", "too busy to check email addresses" etc. between us all. I noted you voted positive so I know your batting for the right team ;-)

    • Thanks for the recommendations. I hope my local store stocks them.

  • +11

    my lips are sealed…:)

  • Nice deal but somehow I think it'd cost me more in fuel to drive there than the 5 chocolates are worth.

    • I work near Darrell Lea so it's no sweat off my ballsack ;P

  • Just like the Muffin Break freebie all over again! ;-) Good work.

Now if only they had some "full range" stores that were anywhere near me…

  • Thanks!
was quick to vote positive when I noticed you'd done the work for us!

  • let us know if it actually works! too many times have I gone in with online vouchers to be turned away! ><

    • worked like a dream :)

Well I must say, quite a few coming in today with vouchers, a few from online which was fine, Im more than happy to give out free choccies with either online/newspaper vouchers - but coming in with multiple printed vouchers for ur children (who are apparently home with chronic fatigue), and making me feel like the badguy for questioning this is just stretching the deal a bit too much (in my humble opinion)

    • There's always some who will spoil it for the rest of us. Sorry to hear some gave you a hard time Ally.

    • +2

What a bunch of f*cking scabs coming in with that story.

    • Yes they should just state clearly vouchers can't be claimed on behalf of others to spare staff any grief/hassle.

    • -1

I would tell them to get stuffed. They wont come back and buy anything anyway. They're probably cheapskates from Frankston who probably couldn't work out that the cost of the fuel to drive to the store and back is actually more expensive than the free chocolate.

    • The voucher says "one claim per person" so well within your right to give 5 per person present only. If they don't like it, tough shit.

And yes I'm sure you will never see them back to buy anything.

    • I'm quite annoyed that there are people out there who would try and violate the terms of the coupons… let alone try and make you feel bad for not wanting to let them.
If her story had any truth to it, she should have taken home 1 chocolate per child and said thank you to you that the coupon was for 5 chocolates and not just 1.

  • Yes, some ppl can be suprising..

    • Hi Ally,

Just wondering - did you accept vouchers which were printed in black and white?. I printed mine on black and white inksaver mode; you can hardly read the small print.

      • +1

[[you can hardly read the small print.]]

that was my concern as well when i couldn't make out the "shortcode" after printing out from colour laser in best quality.

  • mmmm….got mine today at the glen (Y)

  • +3

Have only seen ppl print them in colour, but I dont see a problem with printing b&w. I would accept them, was thinking they are a bit of waste of ink with the pic of the choccies all in colour. I mean it doesnt say it has to be printed in colour and the your local store must have seen a printed voucher by now to know its legit.

  • +2

And for those who were concerned we would run out of chocs, well it would take Lots and lots and Lots and Lots of ppl to clear out all 15 or so flavours of pick'n'mix, still heaps to give away:)

I went in today (with a mate too) and we both had the same voucher printed that InLikeFlynn made up for us. As soon as we walked in, one of the employees noticed the papers in our hands and asked if we were there for the offer. We said yes, she pointed to the chocolates and we both took our 5, she then put them in a paper bag for us, took our vouchers (which she didn't even really look at) and we left happy :)

    • That's great to hear. Nice to know my vouchers are making their way around the Darrell Lea shops!

  • just wondering, cant you print multiple copies of the voucher and just go to a few full ranged darryl lea stores to claim your 5 free chococolates. How would they know?

    • I'd assume you can. there's nothing wrong with it as you are a different customer at each store.
it's just that you can't claim multiple times at the same store.

  • yeah that seems logical enough. thanks!

  • +3

hey, if u want to drive to multiple stores to get ur free chocs, I think u deserve them (for makin the effort to go there:) But for my region of stores (we all communicate daily) we sadly do have a bit of a "blacklist" accumulating for the sketchy ppl (u know who u are)…just a few bad eggs, but for the most part its been great to see how a few free chocs can make ppl so happy and grateful (I love my job!)

  • If you do buy $10 of products whilst at Darrel Lea, ask for a loyalty program card :)

  • Got mine today! Thanks :)

I got turned down by the staff at the darrell lea on george st in sydney :(. They wanted to have a proper image that was printed using explorer which has the website address and all.

  • They did that to me too. But I scolded the manager and told her there were dotted lines for us to cut out the voucher and redeem. I even told her making me printing off another copy of this is polluting the environment and is this what Darrell encouraging us to do?

She quiet up and just gave me the chocolates.

    • LOL! You got your chocolate but forgot to vote?!?!? :)

  • I printed a b&w voucher and had no problems at the Garden City, Brisbane store. They barely looked at the voucher. Great find! :)

  • Got my 5 freebies at Rundle Mall using Black and White printout. Thanks

    • Hmmm…got your choc but no vote :)

I went to Doncaster … and the staff member hadn't seen the vouchers before! :P She said I was the first person to bring in one of the vouchers (while she was looking after the shop).

I'm guessing she hadn't been in the shop much this week :P

PS she had no problems with the voucher and it was in black and white :)
