  • There are some really nice small bars around if there arent too many of you…

    • Shirt Bar (wide variety of whiskies and you can book a spot normally)
    • Stitch Bar
    • Baxter Inn
    • Bulletin Place

Other casual drinking with a bit more food places
    - Frankies - if you like beer and pizza
    - The Fox Hole - dumplings

  • Uncle Ming's is also quite nice for a drink, though food is just the yumcha style snacks (food type-steamed buns and the like, you just order your food with your drink)

  • any of these ok with children 9 and 12 year olds remember when I lived in Melbourne there was a place at Knox shopping centre, that had all the waitress on roller skates. something like that would entertain us all I think

  • hmm none of mine will allow children as they all have a bar element..

I dont think the ice bar exists anymore and im pretty sure it was adults only.

You would need to look for places on the outskirts of the city or in the touristy areas as most of the places in the middle of the city are adults only for the after work drinkers..

Only other things i can think of are:

    Teppanyaki at http://www.ichibanteppan-yaki.com.au/

Din Tai Fung the kids can watch them making dumplings…

http://n2extremegelato.com.au/ maybe but that would be dessert only and no seating

  • thanks cassyip
