Priority Pass (Obtained Via Citibank Signature Card)

Might sound like a stupid question, but I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to find an answer to no avail. Not really keen to raise the query to the robot cs reps at Citibank, so thought I'd come to fellow trusty Ozbangers =)

I just pulled out my Priority Pass card and noticed that the expiry date states 10/08/2015. Bit of a "oh sht" because I'm traveling late August and was hoping to use the card at one of the lounges.

This Priority Pass was obtained via signing up to a Citibank Signature card, whereby it stated the following…

One complimentary Priority Pass™ Standard Membership, with two complimentary lounge visits, for the primary cardholder is a special feature of the Signature card. Signature cardholders must enrol for the Priority Pass Standard Membership at prioritypass.com/citibankaus. Once you have enrolled, please allow up to 15 working days for your Priority Pass card to arrive in the mail. Unused visits cannot be carried forward to the following membership year. The total number of complimentary visits will be reset two at the beginning of each membership year while you remain a Signature cardholder. Please note that Priority Pass is not currently available at any Australian airport other than Melbourne International Airport. Membership is subject to the Conditions of Use available at www.prioritypass.com

My question is, was this complimentary Priority Pass given through Citibank Signature sign up only valid for 1 year, and if I wanted to continue the membership I would have to sign up/renew at my own cost for the next year?

Or…

The membership for Priority Pass is ongoing and continued to be paid by Citibank and I'll get a new card in the mail soonish?

The only reason I have a slight "wishful thinking" that it is the latter is that it stated "Unused visits cannot be carried forward to the following membership year. The total number of complimentary visits will be reset two at the beginning of each membership year while you remain a Signature cardholder".

Can anyone please clarify?

Thanks in advance!

My priority pass membership was renewed after 12 months of having my signature card. I didn't have to do anything - they just sent me a new card.

    • Thank you! Exactly what I was after =)

yeah you will get your new card on the mail but if you are travelling during that expiry date why not call them and ask if they can send earlier?
yeah reset to 2 each year.

  • Yep, if you still hold your Signature card they'll send you a new Priority Pass card when the old one expires.

I've got access no worries without my physical priority pass card. Just kept the card number and pin, they can manually enter the card number and check your details.

Email priority pass, they're pretty good at sorting things out.
