Redeems on Steam.

Ratings are OK between 70-80 by users. A common complaint seems to be poor optimisation for AMD graphics cards.

Makes it about $44 Australian

  • Ah, I had been waiting for it to come back into the VIP room. Though, I picked up Dirt Rally and I'm not sure if I have room for a third racer at the moment.

  • +1

Really tempted as this looks like a good racer game… if only a steering wheel deal would come up right now lol. Also might not have time what with GTA online and Witcher 3…

    • For the first time in two decades or so, I finally have something to ask for at my birthday :)

  • Great simulator, glad I bought it. Now I just have to figure out how to afford a steering wheel :)

    • I have the opposite problem. My G27 can come out from hiding under my bed, but I have an AMD graphics card.

      • Is it really bad with AMD? Before I read those reports it was going to be an instant buy, but I only have 280x's and 290's :(

        • Should work fine on AMD GPU. Has reasonable specs :)

AWESOME GAME. Best car game ever…
          Lots of Cars/Tracks/Customization.

Graphics give the best sense of immersion…

@meniac: I don't think you know what you're talking about. Runs poorly on AMD cards because it uses Nvidia's GPU based Physx to render all physics calculations in the game, 600 times a second. With Nvidia cards this can run on the GPU which is great, on AMD cards it cannot so it has to run on the CPU, this is what caused the performance to drop so much on AMD graphics cards. The card is waiting for the CPU to finish Physx calculations.

        • It runs better on my HTPC's 750Ti than it does on my 290X.

        • Nah it's fine. Has some blurring problems in its renderer for PS4, which ought to be fixed in an upcoming patch. The physx stuff was hopelessly reported, and was full of misinformation, at least according to the devs:

          and

I'm running it on my aging 6950 just fine with moderate settings. A newer GPU like 280/290 will smoke it if the rest of your PC is up to date as well. All that's not to say performance couldn't be better, but that's what patches and community feedback are for. SMS are a very open developer and I'm sure are working hard behind the scenes to improve things.

        • @MoonSha:

Recommended GPU is: GT600 series, AMD Radeon HD7000 series. Minimum GPU specs: nVidia GTX 260, ATI Radeon HD 5770
These are NOT expensive GPU's or very powerful. There are a lot of other games that tax systems a lot more.
Running at 1920 x 1080 or below, like most people do, should be fine for most systems. See LaTerrible's comments.
Running it at higher resolutions (4K or 12K) would be another story…

          I have never used AMD GPU's. I have Intel i7 4790K and Nvidia GTX780…
          Runs about 40 fps at 5670 x 1080 (3 x 1080p screens) on FULL graphics settings :)

P.S. I don't like Green Man Gaming, so don't buy from them ;) lol

        • Ended up getting it, runs fine ok on my GPU. I used these settings after having a few crashes (not related to game). I really hate the handling I've tried the different difficult levels and it either goes straight into walls or spins every 3m. I think its giving me a false sense of speed ie it feels like I'm going slower than I am so I'm taking corners too fast. The cars look good but and the world is ok I actually think DriveClub on the PS4 looks better overall. Actually kindof disappointed with the game :(
