  • Couldn't you do this at your local GP?

    • My GP charges $75 a visit, so free is good for me.

      • Fair enough!

      • of which you get about 35 bucks back from medicare (cant recall exactly how much for a regular consult)..
which is less that what most people spend on a hair cut (i dare to suggest even amongst us ozbargainers)

if people do this instead of seeing their GP - then I think this is a bad/dangerous trend
if people do this as well as seeing their GP - or if they dont see their GP for a multitude of reasons - then I think it has its place.

I wonder if GP's have considered to start selling/dispensing medicine - if I am not mistaken I think legally they are allowed to ….

        • My health is always paramount, I would put it before anything.
Hence I don't go to a bulk billing facility and opt to see the same doctor who can spend more than 3 minutes with me.
I am doing this in conduction with regular visits to doc when needed, plus a good diet and exercise regime.
Hoping others can benefit from this free service especially with breast health and weight evaluations etc.

        • +1

@17731773: glad to hear you are looking after yourself.
I cant say I support the direction this type of care is heading in (certainly was not going to neg the deal for this reason though)
I am sure there will be those who benefit…

        • @dr_ rusko: I agree with what you're saying, hopefully people use this sevice responsibly. Have a lovely day.

  • How long does it take to do it?

    • Thirty minutes.

      • Thanks. Do you think they will run overtime?
My dentist does half hour booked checkups and I still end up in the waiting room for 25 minutes.

        • Who knows, its always gamble, if some body is a no show they could run on time.
