Appliance bargain hunting

Hi all,

Moving out soon and been going hunting for big ticket white goods and appliances like fridge, washing machine, microwave, etc.

Wondering if people have opinions or strategies on when the best time is to purchase these goods? Eg like EOFY sales

And also any other strategies like using price matching offers at masters/binglee/appliances online

Sincere thanks!

Apply for a tradie account at Masters to get 10% off, you'll need an ABN. Then get them to price match the lowest price you can find elsewhere or online minus the 10%.

    • Hi Alex

I'm very new to all of this. Please can you help me with two questions I have:

      1) what do you need to get / be in order to qualify for a tradie account; and
      2) what is an ABN?

      thanks so much

5%, not 10%. Also masters DONT stack discounts like price match and trade discounts. Dont know where you get your info from.

      • Hi. You are right. It's either 5% using the trade card or price matching the lowest. I've just asked in-store as I'm looking to buy a few standing oven myself.

  • Apologies, it's 5% and not 10%. I've asked instore about using the trade card with price matching and was told yes. Haven't really used it before.

Michal J - ABN means Australian Business Number. When I applied for my card, I used my own ABN but they don't check or ask for prove.
