These are going cheap from multiple sellers. Can't find any toner replacements/costs though…weird.

Edit: Genuine set of 4 x carts a little around $400. Can't find any refills.

Unsure if I should replace my HP2600N (epic Ozbargain deal from many years ago) as it needs 4 new cartridges = $99.

    • Unsure if I should replace my HP2600N (epic Ozbargain deal from many years ago)

      I'm still using mine too…

    • So if you dumb it after the toners finish, cost would be around 10c pp. Cartridges of yr existing ones should give you 2000. So it would cost you twice as much.

      • Yes but this Ricoh also has higher print res, duplex and a 3 year warranty. I love the HP but maybe time to move on…

does not matter how long is the warranty if one need to buy $400 replacement cartriges.

        • @Sidor: yeah, warranty is almost a non issue with printer, toner/ink are.

    • 2nds World are selling them for $99, pickup, throughout Australia. Add about $50 for courier. They expect stock soon.

How long do toners last in storage? Considering buying more than one just for the toner.

    • Me too but don't have the storage space for another whole printer!

    • depends whether they're only starter cartridges or not..

      • Hi danwarne,

The printers come included with starter toners which are good for approximately 1,000 prints. Provided the printers are stored in a cool and dry location, the toners should be expected to last quite a while! We already had a customer pick up 2 units today for this very same idea.

Let us know if you have any further questions. :)

  • So what's the go for Melbourne metro customers, is this a good deal or not?

And if its good is it worth buying 2 so you get another "starter" cartridge?

    Starter kit -
    Black: 1,000 prints
    Cyan: 1,000 prints
    Magenta: 1,000 prints
    Yellow: 1,000 prints

    • so worth $200 inkwise

      • More than $200 because the full toner kits are…

        All-in-one cartridge capacity:
        Black: 2,000 prints
        Cyan: 1,600 prints
        Magenta: 1,600 prints
        Yellow: 1,600 prints

Bit the bullet and ordered. Can't find any reviews which is a concern. But for the price. Should be OK.

  • I am after laser printer as well but will wait a bit longer, hopefully better deals will be coming out by the end of financial year.

Got mine today too. Great service. This printer is heavy! I'm so used to crappy inkjets. For $99 shipped its fantastic so far, very impressed with the printer and the speedy delivery.
