Regus Businessworld Gold Membership Decline

Hi everyone, I just wanted to know if anyone else had a similar experience or if this was exclusive to me.

I had never heard of these Regus business centres before but i thought it sounded interesting and i would check it out so i filled out the form properly (on 15th) and got the validation email stating i was approved and would be receiving the card "shortly". Anyway after like 10 days i contacted them via email to just confirm that the card was on its way as i wasn't sure what time-frame "shortly" meant. Anyway just received a reply back stating i have been declined as the offer is no longer valid even though i filled it out on the day when it was valid.

I'm not going to contest it since obviously i have no case it's their business and the T&C pretty much stated they can do w/e the heck they want but i wanted to know if anyone else had a similar experience.

    • Hey sorry for the late response, i thought i was the only one who got declined but apparently i just got mine earlier since i contacted them earlier. No luck contesting it, sent a decently mature response about what their actions indicate about their business but i have not received a reply and doubt i will receive one.

  • i wanted to post the same thing. i received an email just now, my application is declined too. ironically, they offer me "complimentary blue membership". WTF!

  • I also just got this after receiving a confirmation email on 16 May saying "Your membership is set up and ready to go" and "Your welcome pack, including your membership card, will be mailed to you shortly.".

    Saying that it is declined because the offer is closed is either a mistake or a flat out lie.
    Either way I'm sure the Office of Fair Trading (Qld, NSW) or Advertising Standards Board would not like this.

    Same here, same emailed received. Hopefully Regus sees this thread and realises that they might find have offended a few people by promoting an offer and not honoring it.

    My gold card and information pack arrived last week.
    I also got this email today. I have logged into the website and it does not say what membership I have, but under "cards" it lists I have a gold card.

    I am not sure if I got through and became a gold member.. or they have revoked my membership and card.

    A strange sight in Parramatta today, they had two people with wierd black bodysuits, covering their face as well. They were holding sandwichboard style signs to try and get new customers.
