Just bought myself a S6, and I plan to make it last me a long time.
Since the camera sticks out so much, I was wondering if anyone knew any sites that sold tempered glass covers for the camera glass itself. I remember a year or two ago there was a company that did t hem for most flagships, and getting one for my Note 3.

I'm fairly certain that Samsung's lens covers aren't sapphire crystal.

Here's a photo of my Note 3, the scratch was actually quite bad, luckily it only reached the top left corner over the sensor. It happened just from a simple drop only concrete.
I have a nice Spigen case on my S6, but the camera lens is still level to the back of the case.

But perhaps you can find yourself a screen protector and then cut it to fit using a hobby knife.
There isn't a need to, the glass is sapphire crystal which puts it 9 on the Mohs hardness scale. Unless your pocket happens to have diamonds floating around it would be hard to find anything in your house to actually scratch the lens.
The chances of you cracking the lens is more likely though — while it would be resistant to scratches, it would not be entirely shatter or crack proof. But the chances of that happening is low too, because of how small that piece of glass is.
If you do want to protect your phone I'd suggest a case, the camera lens is actually the least of your worries.
