StarBuy.com.au is Finally live. Star Jewels drop ship watches for a few different websites so we took a punt and started working on StarBuy 2 years ago. StarBuy is a flash sale site with each sale lasting 4 days in 4 categories, Jewellery, Watches, Kitchenware and Giftware. As a deep discount site, we are keeping out of pocket expenses (shipping) separate from the item cost.

StarBuy has been live for 2 days only so please bear with us if there are any unforeseen issues. We have tested and then tested for all scenarios but no doubt not all are covered or planned for.

Any and all feedback is welcome and we are not promoting the website till mid next week so an exclusive launch for OzBargain. Thanks everyone

      None taken. Its a revolving banner that had to be tested so we had to have 1 in there to test.

          Star Jewels will concentrate on watches and jewellery only. It was not robust enough to handle all our requirements and hence StarBuy. We will run both websites BUT feature sales on StarBuy. Thanks

        If you could add in a filtering function at some point in the future that would be great. Particularly interested in solar powered, temperature & compass features. GPS is probably a little bit pricey.

    I love the site layout, just one bit of feedback.

    Popup "Someone in New South Wales bought a Global 30th Anniversary 3 pce Knife Set" - Yay for them, but those pop-ups are annoying and IMHO tacky.

    Especially when it pops up on EVERY page, EVERY time :)

    1. Remove them all together - YAY!
      OR
    2. Use sessions / cookies to only show each product pop-up once.
    3. Show product pop-ups relevant to the category the user is browsing.

      Thanks for that! I'll bring this up with the developers to see if option 2 is viable. As far as I am aware, option 3 is actually not possible as that was our first choice as well. We reduced the size and moved the location to make them as unobtrusive as possible. Cheers
