I'm looking at buying protein powder to take after training at the gym.
Obviously I know about GNC, Vitamin King and the usual online players but is there a cheaper alternative?
Looking for a good quality powder - hoping for 80% plus protein.

venom is cheap no doubt but last batch I got has a very chemical type smell to it. 5 bags so far have it, yet to open the other 2.
Also one of them is natural, so its not from "flavourings"
Since you are looking for a protein to take directly post-workout I would look for a protein predominantly made up of either whey protein isolate or hydrolyzed whey protein isolates, the latter being quite a bit more expensive.
I have been using optimum gold standard whey which is made up mostly of whey protein isolates (not 100%) and I can vouch for it's quality. Cheapest I can find is off some ebay trusted sellers such as Xtreme warehouse, rockhard supplements and supps r us. Have bought off all of them and shipping is fast. This one comes in at 77% protein @ roughly $35 per kg. (4.5kg bag for $159)
I've also bought from Venom Protein, their 4kg of pure whey isolate is $130 including shipping so about $32 per kg. The protein content is alot higher at 88% and the quality seems really good as well from my experience.
In the end its up to you, but I stuck with gold standard because I enjoy the consistency and taste. If going straight bang for buck then venom whey isolate is a good choice.
I use Bulknutrients.com.au and think they stack up well vs these prices you mention

The attraction for me is guarantee of quality product as they test regularly to prove you get what you pay for
There is a vast difference in efficiency (e.g. faster metabolising) of 90%+ vs <80% - plus what is the other 20% of 5hit you are eating - carbs?
As a previous user of No Bull - who turns out ro be full of bulll (may have been accidental) - the guarantee is important to me

Flavoured is barely more expensive than unflavoured and you get to pick each flavour for each 1kg you order.
Also used to use bulkpowders.com.au - these are guys are pretty cheap for protein/$, especially on unflavoured WPC.

word of warning with bulk nutrients. DO NOT get WPC choc mint flavour, absolutely awful (WPI might taste better but idk)
Choc, cookies n cream, banana vanilla are all good imo
Wpi choc mint is not great, unless you like that feeling of drinking a chocolate milk after brushing your teeth!
they actually don't sell choc mint anymore, guess they had too many negative responses!
As others have mentioned, Bulk Nutrients is quite good value for money. I think another brand that others have used and recommend is Venom Protein.
Another thing you could do is subscribe to newsletters from Amino Z. Their prices are quite competitive. On top of that, every now and then they have specials/significant discounts on short dated protein powders. That is if you have no issues taking protein powders that are close to expiry or just expired, which I don't mind.

I love DYMATIZE ALL NATURAL ELITE WHEY, usually chocolate flavour.
Has 74% protein.
Best flavour for me out of venom, bulk nutrients and bulk powders is bulk powders. Cost a couple of dollars per kilo more, but the taste is worth it.
Having said that, when aminoz have crazy sales like they just did on the ON CASEIN for $20 per kilo, I got 10.
I got some Venom Protein powder last time they had the 20% discount on gift cards…worked out to be around $16/kg with free shipping and got to pick different flavours every 1KG since Venom Protein sell them in 1KG bags.
