Suggestions on getting a Freedom Furniture discount?

Does anyone have any tips on how to get a reasonable discount at Freedom? I'm looking a couple couches, and while I may be able to talk the price down slightly, I'm also looking at other avenues. For example, does anyone know how to get cheap gift vouchers for Freedom, or similar?

I'm already all over the Big W 7.5% off >>>> buy Freedom gift voucher approach (do they still allow this??), but there must be other options that I don't know about

Thanks all

  • Find someone with a MyFreedom card. That gives 15% off everything.

I ended up getting it once because it was cheaper to buy the card ($99) and use it to get 15% off a large purchase. Now I've got it for 2 years, 15% off everything and a further 5% off sale items.

Quite a few people have the cards, ask around your family and friends.

If your a RACv member I think you get 10% full price and 5% sale items…

so maybe depending on what ur buying… sign up to the cheapest policy (windscreen insurance) or bike insurance so u get a card and use that… plus the 7.5% off gift card???

    = 17.5 %

    • I'm liking that idea - i can a domestic travel policy for $39, which is more than offsetting the cost of the couch!

PS they will not have a Freedom offer after 23rd June for some reason, it is ending

********or i can join RACQ for $29 per year instead

Also Australia Post is currently selling gift cards at 10% off

  • I get texts from time to time saying "RACQ members get 20% off this weekend" etc. I think because I bought a bed there a couple of years ago. Happens every few months. Their standard discount is 10% for automobile club member.

They'll often do couch deals as well - would be worth waiting for a sale as they can be quite generous.

Scroll down this page until you see the 'Offers' section - it's pretty much a list of all the previous offers they've had to give you an indication of the kinds of sales to look out for. Unfortunately it doesn't look like they have a big one on at the moment, but then the EOFY is coming up so they may have one soon.

sleep with a freedom furniture staff member?

    • My wife will make me sleep on the couch I'm looking to buy for the rest of my life (so i should probably choose a sofa bed option?)

  • They usually have a %50 off this time of year. It will probably start in a couple of weeks, if not now.

  • I'm in the same boat but for bar stool. I've got Coke Rewards which I can redeem, 2000 points for $100.
