Good Melbourne Eatery Accessible Via Public Transport

Hi can anyone suggest a good eatery accessible by the Craigieburn train line or Airport West tram line. Diners are from interstate & vegetarian. Also, we would prefer the suggested eatery be one where you order & pay for your meal individually (like an RSL for instance). Many thanks in advance.

  • Airport West tram goes into town so plenty of places to eat. Vegetarian - there are a lot of choices. Or they can go to Moonee Ponds. Just get them to explore seeing they are on holiday or use something like urban spoon for tip offs

  • Happycow.com ;)

  • Go through loop and get off at Flagstaff station , walk along William st towards Queen Vic market. On corner of A'beckett st is the Radisson Flagstaff. Lunch including glass of wine and or juice or coke will cost $15 per person. Includes soup and series of hot foods, vegetarian pasta, chicken casserole, beef curry and variety of salads. Maybe cold meats too. Noon till 2 p.m. week days. You can include walk up to high point of gardens where they could see ships coming up bay long ago and signal their arrival to Melburnians. Could also visit food court area in Queen Vic market which has great range of foods, in enclosed area.

    • Great for a Vegetarian who only wants to eat pasta. Not so great offering a choice of chicken casserole, beef curry and cold meats.

  • om vegetarian?
