  • You get what you paid for.

    The reviews are terrible.

    Ceramic Plated Iron $5

2 of these and you have a sandwich press.

    • not sure how true that is.. :/

  • Reviews never disappoint at Godfrey's ;-)

    Vacuum cleaner:
I suppose the term 'you get what you pay for' should be used here, I needed a small portable vaccume to tidy up around my birds cages, all it needed to do was suck up bird seed from the floor, but it can barely even do that.

Terrible suction, not even worth using. Waste of money.

    Dreadful item, very poor suction

Very poor quality of a product, don't understand why you're selling it rather than trying to improve the super hero cordless vac.

    • I was thinking about getting one to suck up the last bits of rubbish out of the tent after a camp but these reviews make me think I'll stick with a moist rag.

      • Admittedly I have small tents, but I shake mine out.

It would just be more clutter you would regret taking, I think.

  • So I'm not in the market for an iron, but $5 seems very cheap. Being that an iron is basically a hot piece of metal, what could make this $5 iron crappy compared to a "real" one?

    • They stop making these iron and they clearing there stock. Similar to $14 HP printer at HN.

Just so you know, I picked up the $5 hand steamer to see if it worked. Surprisingly, it cleans out grout from between tiles very well (with the help of a toothbrush) and polishes/cleans chrome well. In fact, it removes grout better than any chemical cleaner I have ever used including AJAX and Bam. The steam is nearly constant (when the tank is nearly empty you need to wait for ~5 seconds for steam at full pressure). There is also a thermostat light that turns on and off to produce steam at the correct pressure. Also, when the tank is empty it safely turns off by itself. The cons are: short lead (can overcome with extension lead), and the included brush is prone to wear/melt. I have only used it without the brush attached and the results were great. Overall however, for something that I had little to no expectations for, I reckon it is one of the best things I have bought for 5 bucks.
