Wow wow wow. That's my week's pay.

  • Nice sharp compact lens. It's just a shame Panasonic should have improved the autofocus speed of this Mk II lens over the Mk 1 lens, then I would definitely buy it.

    • Sadly the lens construction on the 20mm can't really be improved, it moves the entire lens forward and backwards.
Other lenses use a different focusing system.

They will need to overhaul the entire design to make it focus faster.

The only real noticeable difference with MK1 and MK2 is the MK2 is slightly quieter when using autofocus.

It is an extremely good lens though, very sharp, very smooth bokeh.

  • I've had the Mk1 since 2010 and briefly had the Mk2 last year. I noticed no difference besides the appearance. Even though the AF can be slow, it's still my fave Micro Four Thirds lens. But let's hope they do a Mk3 with better AF.

  • This is a terrific lens. It's sharp and has wonderful pop, and is basically the definition of a pocket lens.

  • Price has jumped back up to $378
