based on past Aldi alcohol purchases, I would say its 99% likely the Aldi will also be the imported variety

Thanks. I should have mentioned BWS have some imported cartons at the moment for $45. Most carry only limited stock though.
I was in Amsterdam recently and their locally brew stuff tasted exactly the same as what is brewed here under license.
The imported stuff is probably like 3 months old by the time it hits our stores so I guess if old beer taste appeals to you then you should buy that instead :P

Since when did Aldi start stocking Heineken? And what is the regular price? The last time I looked in Aldi for beer they had Thai piss stuff and something from Guatemala if I recall.. Somewhere around there.
Their online store has a much bigger (and different) offering than the physical stores.
Its usually one of their special buys sort of things. They only sell it in store when they can get a cheaper price from the wholesaler probably.
