Hi all,
some time this year i just wanna get away on a week or 2 long holiday (in australia) maybe on the coast of QLD or something. the usual place i look is scoopon but its flooded with bali holidays and not too much Australian stuff.
where should i be looking? i really would love to find a bang for buck resort to stay in!

If you don't need a resort I use villas.com. just booked 5 apartments in European cities and all can be cancelled a week before travel at no cost.
+1 for Air BNB and Hotels.com are ok for me.
if you like hanging with bogans. Some of the cheapest residential accommodation on the coast in that resort. Has it's knock on effects.
bogans are good for parties!
id rather stay there than in some geezers house from airbnb…
then again i live on the coast and its a dump anyway, but id go down to main beach
Good luck with that, all the bars closing down there now, my local, the Provincial closed and the place next door to the Bavarian Haus now closed, pretty much only Shuck left.
@gooddealmate: i never go down that way, too far to drive, i live in a 2km radius in robina, has everything i need, not that i go out much. id rather go to the usa for a holiday, a place which has some interesting things…. gold coast along with australia is pretty dull in my opinion.
