A Japanese Equivalent of OzBargain?

Hi all,

I just think this would be an interesting topic.
Does anyone know if there's a Japanese Equivalent of OzBargain, where people post and share deals/bargains in Japan? (in Japanese of course)

I'm going there for a few weeks and hope I can use this opportunity to hunt down some bargains while I'm there.

This thread could benefit anyone who's travelling to Japan or Aussies living there.

Thanks heaps.

  • Try googling 'cheapskate guide to Japan'. I found some useful tips on several of the blogs.

  • http://kakaku.com/ is apparently a useful price comparison website

but don't forget Amazon shopping is popular there too, so many bargains can be had if you shop online as well as in Akihabara.

    • Kakaku will only list the major stores or a few registered smaller stalls that have a website. Most of the time there are bargains to be had, but funny enough I eventually discovered that even the major stores will have different prices in-store (read: cheaper) than their online price.

    • Thanks scrimshaw.
I know kakaku.com and it's a useful website but it's more like 'statice.com.au' which just does price comparison.

I'd like to see a site that bargains are posted by local individuals.

FJ's search is good as it covers new and used prices. I found Royal Orient prices a lot cheaper than kakaku. Try WE0041EK.

    • Thanks langh.
FJ looks more like a shopping site though, not really a 'OZB' kind of site.
